Our annual Christmas Tree Festival starts on 6th December and continues until next Saturday 13th December.
Sunday 30th November is the first Sunday in Advent, so please join us for our Advent Candle Service starting at 6:30 pm. St Peter's will be filled with beautiful words, music and candlelight, as we prepare for the coming of Christ into the world.
North Yorkshire Council invite residents to share their views on the proposed Town Investment Plan on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th November from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at St Peter’s Church.

St Peter’s Players production is on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November at 7:30 pm and Saturday 22nd November at 2:30 pm in Church.
Sheila, who recently celebrated her 102nd birthday, received her honour at a special meeting of the town council from Mayor Chris Aldred. He said the honour was intended to recognise her service in the ATS and for her 'impossibly difficult work' at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where she was sent in 1945 to look after the women and children who had been liberated.
St Peter's Church achieved Gold in the Communal Grounds category.
St Peter's Eco Church Group is delighted to announce that our Church has been awarded the Eco Church Silver Award by A Rocha UK (the Christian Conservation charity).
There will be two talks during this week: The History of the Church by Tony Wilson and A Tour of the Stained Glass Windows with Michael Burlison.
The group restarts after the summer break on Monday 15th September. They meet from 1:30 - 3:00 pm every Monday in The Undercroft.
