Chris Clayton, our Associate Vicar, is leaving us to take up his new post at St Margaret’s, Horsforth. His last Sunday at St Peter's will be 18th January ...
Starting this week on 15th January 2026 classes are being held for those who wish to explore their faith with others who are also thinking about baptism or confirmation.
By the 1860s the needs of the growing population and the increasing number of visitors to Harrogate meant that a new church was needed. The main architect for the new church was J H Hirst of Bristol, who was also responsible for many of the buildings in Harrogate town centre. In October 1876 the new Church of St Peter's was consecrated, with Canon Lundy Foote as the first vicar.
Our Associate Vicar, Chris Clayton, will be leaving St Peter's Church in the New Year. Chris' final Sunday at St Peter's will be 18th January.2026.
